Free (in theory), Easy and Super-Cool-Beans Remote Picture-Taking DIY Project!
What you need:
- A camera that supports remote control via USB (I’ll let cha know if you do).
- A Mac connected to wi-fi that came out in the last few years… or more.
- An iPhone or iPod touch with wi-fi.
Let’s get started!
First, connect your camera to your computer as if you’re going to import pictures. But you’re not going to, so just chill.
Next, open up Image Capture on your fancy-pants Mac. Use Spotlight to find it if you can’t! Don’t be lazy, dude!
After that is the extremely important test that will determine if you’re going to be able to finish this project. Look up in the toolbar after you connect your camera. Can you “Take Picture”? You can?! FANTASTIC, LET’S MOVE ON!
Next you’re going to have to download SnatchTest on your beloved iPhone or iPod touch. It’s free and in the App Store. Connect it to your computer, instructions are included with, around, or somehow connected to the app. It’s easy though.
Last step. Be done and click away with your new setup that Chase has provided you with. Watch the magic happen as you snap picture after picture with your little Apple-branded touch device. Amaze your friends and family. Set up a photo booth and make money. Sell naked pictu… well, you know.
ENJOY!
